Description

KBX Technology Solutions, LLC, a provider of transportation technology to industry leaders, is seeking a Senior Software Architect with DevOps experience. This role will be part of a team of engineers that are responsible for enhancing existing applications and for building applications using modern microservices architecture techniques. Responsibilities include design and implementation of technical solutions that are secure, support best practices, embrace CI/CD, and are scalable. The qualified candidate has a solid understanding of the organization(s) being supported and ITs role in the business's mission and applies it to the application development and design.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Evangelize an event-driven, microservice-based application architecture using containerized applications.
  • Support a "security first" advocacy and encourage platform solutions that enable the microservice product teams to "shift left" with vulnerability identification and resolution.
  • Stay current on industry trends; innovate through research, proof of concepts, and demos to solve complex business problems.
  • Provide thought leadership, mentorship, and training across the engineering team.
  • Build strong relationships with product owners and managers that promotes value exchange.
  • Execution of this role will involve both the deployment of standardized product offerings and the creation of new solutions and services as required to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate with peers in leading the effort to develop and/or refine processes which optimize the delivery of Cloud solutions and create value for KBXT and its customers.
  • Ensuring delivery of technical solutions that meet the business outcomes, consistent with software development standards and best practices for a service-oriented architecture.
  • Collaborating with a team of engineers and analysts through discovery, delivery, and support of a new platform that is focused on the transformation of our transportation management systems.
  • Perform analysis, design and development work using a variety of solutions and technologies. Propose alternative solutions to achieve desired result.


The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • Experience in CI/CD Pipeline experience creating new and managing existing pipelines
  • Experience with containerization & Kubernetes including building & supporting container images or storing images in repository or deploying images in Kubernetes
  • Experience defining and building a fully automated DevOps discipline
  • Experience with Relational Databases such as SQL Server or Postgres or MySQL or Oracle
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and YAML
  • Experience with Modern object-oriented development language like Python or C# or .NET or Go Scala or Java or Swift


What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ years of experience architecting, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale applications
  • Leveraging managed services on AWS, Azure and/or GCP cloud platforms
  • Designing and building high performance applications with scalability, availability, fault-tolerance, monitoring, and serviceability
  • Experience with website development using modern web frameworks like Angular or Vue or React
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience leading technical design
  • Experience coaching and assisting in the development of other team members
  • Experience utilizing Message Queueing Technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
  • Experience with continuous delivery capabilities such as ArgoCD or FluxCD
  • Experience with test automation in CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Cloud monitoring solutions such as DataDog or Grafana or CloudWatch

Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. For this role, we anticipate paying $150,000 - $200,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
