Job Description

Module Software Solutions Group within Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) group is seeking a Software Application Engineer to work on the next generation of Intel's test equipment software.
  • Designs, develops, sustains, tests, validates, and debugs software to enable specific factory, wafer process, packaging features, capabilities, solutions, and/or reference platforms for Intel manufactured products.
  • May work across multiple layers of the software stack spanning firmware, drivers, operating systems, database platforms, storage platforms, network, firewall, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, automated material handling systems, and/or applications for mission critical distributed enterprise systems spanning a large number of clients, servers and applications across multiple operating systems, specific technology, product, platform, or Manufacturing segment.

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a technical nature:
  • Feature definition, development and maintenance of Intel's High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) test equipment software.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Cross-geo collaboration with engineering teams across Intel.
  • Participation as well as driving design and code reviews.
  • Finding opportunities to improve quality of the product and testing processes, bug fixes etc.
  • Effectively communicate and willing to interface with team members and customers.
  • Collaborate and align with team members internal and external stakeholders and partnership skills.
  • Demonstrate data analytics skills to communicate complex data in a simple process issues and identification of a solution.
  • Program management, leadership skills or project planning experience.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree (with 2+ years of relevant experience) or Master's degree (with 1+ years of relevant experience) in Electrical, Systems or Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in analyzing hardware (HW) failures and/or Software issues, equipment interaction.

Candidate must possess the degree by employment start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in test engineering.
