Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Lead
Job Description The Site Reliable Engineer Lead is responsible for keeping all application services running smoothly. The SRE is able to apply solid engineering principles, operational discipline and mature automation to environments of the application.
You will work with cutting edge technologies, such as Domain-Drive Design (DDD), microservices, micro frontend (micro UI), Design Thinking via Double Diamond (Discovery & Framing), Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and with UX/UI Designers and Researchers to provide solutions for Business. You will join us in the journey from private cloud GAIA to the public cloud, AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate the deployment of microservices to a cloud environment using automated tools
- Design and implement the observability of microservices in order to identify system degradation before it impacts application usability
- Design, implement, and test application and disaster recoverability
- Identify bottlenecks in the system and implement software or infrastructure optimizations
- Identify and debug production issues across multiple services and at different levels of the tech stack
- Meet key metrics such as Service Level Objectives and Recovery Time Objectives
- Perform and complete blameless Root Cause Analysis Investigations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- Strong inclination towards automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience in deploying and managing microservices in a Cloud environment
- Containerization
- Experience in Disaster Recovery and High Availability Strategies
- Logging Infrastructure and traceability
- DB storage management and scaling
- String debugging and analytical skills
Relevant Technical Experience:
- Java 8+
- SQL
- Microservice-related technologies such as API Gateways, Caching, Data storage, and Message Brokers
- Experience with delivery pipelines such as Jules or Spinnaker
- AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Pivotal Cloud Foundry or other similar cloud platforms
- Docker/Kubernetes
- Strong experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, or Prometheus
- Familiar with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation
