Site Reliability Engineer at Event Vesta (Remote)
Vesta is seeking a focused and organized individual to take on the new role of Site Reliability Engineer reporting into Vesta’s global SRE Team. The Site Reliability Engineer will be primarily responsible for availability, change management, incident response, performance, automation, and deployment of services. Senior level role requires approximately 7-10 years related experience.

Core Responsibilities:
- Create new tools and scripts employing automation for efficiencies in process and technology or auto remediation of incidents.
- Maintain and support Vesta’s CI/CD pipeline.
- Take lead role in Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacity Management, and Deployment as a service owner.
- Project support in both design and execution.
- Represent operational awareness in development from design through to deployment and operation.
- Effectively manage prioritization of multiple work streams.
- Monitor performance of application to identify inefficiencies.
Education & Experience Required:
- 7-10 years related experience
- High School education or greater
Competencies Required:
- Knowledge of best practice and principles related to DevOps, ITSM, Agile and SRE.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Experience with operating in cloud, multi-cloud, and on-prem environments.
- High sense of ownership and accountability with a permanent fix mindset.
- Experience in handling production support incidents with on-call responsibility.
- Ability to perform with both Development and Operations teams as well as act as a bridge between the two areas.
- Experience working within a PCI compliant environment.
- Well versed in network protocols.
- Strong scripting abilities.
- Working knowledge is a plus list includes Docker and containerization, MS SQL, Java, Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, Linux, Vault, Puppet, Atlassian Suite, ServiceNow, Splunk.

On occasion this role may require off-hours work in order to address escalations or urgent concerns.
