Work in a team with other Site Reliability Engineers to maintain on premise and cloud infrastructure that supports the various Healthstream applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES (The below listed duties are not all inclusive. This position must also perform other duties as assigned.):

  • Engineer solutions for premise servers, server clusters, backups, storage, and virtualization environments
  • Support administration of IaaS and PaaS cloud assets
  • Complete support requests created by internal departments
  • Create, modify, and update written procedures, processes, and technical support knowledge effectively and use this knowledge to provide consultation
  • Collaborate with other engineers and operations teams to improve automation of workflows, infrastructure, code testing and deployment
  • Identify systems that can benefit from automation, monitoring and infrastructure-as-code and develop and scale products and services accordingly
  • Assist in the companies transition into a true DevOps environment
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support



KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or similar field preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years experience in a Reliability Engineering, DevOPs, or infrastructure focused role
  • Experience in a 24X7 hosting environment



SKILLS REQUIRED (manual, verbal or mental manipulation of data or things):

  • Fundamental understanding of troubleshooting .Net applications running on IIS.
  • Experience managing and maintaining server hardware
  • Ability to complete standard tasks with Azure and AWS whether in the GUI or CLI
  • Experience with IAC tools such as Ansible, Packer, and Terraform
  • Ability to complete standard tasks with VMWare whether in the GUI or CLI
  • Core Windows administration
  • Basic Linux administration with networking concepts
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of designing, configuring and maintaining common web applications
  • Working knowledge of IP networking, DNS, and load balancing
