Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

Location: REMOTE

Purpose statement: The site reliability engineer will identify opportunities and drive the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability, and reliability of IDT's various systems

Essential Functions:

• Creates software that will improve the reliability of the team's systems, fixing issues and responding to incidents and issues.
• Provides guidance and knowledge sharing to the team in the areas of PowerShell and other automation tools, version control, monitoring tools as well as other technologies.
• Debug and resolve production issues across services and levels of the stack.
• Complete root cause analysis and post incident analysis on all business-critical incidents.
• Create and maintain the automation of monitoring, alerts, incident response and patching.
• Define, monitor, and report Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to management.
• Responsible for identifying and creating reliability and performance indicators.
• Collaborate with senior team members on high priority incidents and ensure system recovery.
• This position works directly with the DevOps team to automate development and production release cycles.
• Provides on call support and issue resolution.
• Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Professional Experience:

• 2+ years' experience in a site reliability engineer role or equivalent combination of the essential functions.
• Intermediate experience in automation in PowerShell, C# (or similar) (required)
• Intermediate experience with CI/CD, Automation tools, monitoring tools and version control (required)
• Basic experience with Change Management (Preferred)
• Intermediate Database experience (Preferred)
• Intermediate Azure/AWS Experience (Preferred)

Other Job Qualifications:

• Knowledge of source controls system and software development lifecycles.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment technologies
• Ability to understand and interpret software code
• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Adaptability to perform under stress when confronted with emergent, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations, or situation in which working speed and sustained attention are make-or-break aspects of the job.
