Summary
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) provides technical leadership and mentoring to the SRE team in addition to working closely with the DevOps Manager on the creation and execution of the SRE roadmap.
Essential Duties
- Manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and ensure all critical systems are monitored 24/7 and that system alerts are addressed in a timely fashion.
- Architect and maintain the Kubernetes container orchestration platform.
- Ensure systems are compliant with Widen policies and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and training to SRE team members.
- Work with the DevOps Manager to construct the SRE roadmap.
- Ensure execution of the SRE roadmap and provide status reports to the DevOps Manager.
- Produce and maintain architectural documentation for AWS services, environments, and integrations.
- Own the agile process for the team, monitor, and adjust as necessary to optimize team workflow.
- Ensure the infrastructure supporting a microservices environment allows for the scalable management of hundreds of running services with built-in autoscaling.
- Stay abreast of current trends and technologies and evaluate potential usefulness to achieve Widen’s business objectives.
- Ensure all sources of Widen IP and customer data are properly secured.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of IT automation, Development Operations, or Site Reliability Engineering experience
- Advanced knowledge of AWS
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes
