Who you'll work with...

We value inclusion, empower autonomy, and emphasize software craftsmanship. You embody our values and development culture of collaboration, democracy, testing, CI/CD, data-driven decisions, and mentorship.
What you'll do...
As a Senior Reliability Engineer on this team, you will develop software and tools to empower Duo's product development teams. You will use your expertise to improve our existing systems and processes while developing novel solutions to evolving challenges. You will be responsible for the availability and reliability of critical platform services and applications ensuring we meet our target availability metrics.
As part of the Site Reliability Delivery Team you will help manage our production infrastructure, deploy software and use automation for continuous improvement and to drive down toil. You will be at the heart of Duo's global expansion. You will be involved in tracking and monitoring metrics that will guide our data driven decisions as we strive to get better every day.
Skills you have....

  • A history of writing performant, maintainable, testable code
  • A genuine passion for automation and reducing toil
  • A commitment to quality and understanding of modern software testing practices
  • Extensive experience working with customer facing systems in an environment that strives for 5-nines
  • You are not afraid to fail and have shown ability to fail early and learn from it

Even better if you have prior experience with....

  • Infrastructure as Code - Terraform etc.
  • Kubernetes
  • Cloud service providers such as AWS
  • Automated configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • Writing web applications in Python
  • Deploying cloud services, monitoring, alerting, and handling partner concerns
  • Supporting a high-availability SaaS environment

Why you should apply....

  • You've seen the news! Cybersecurity is the biggest issue of our time and you want to make a difference.
  • You thrive having the autonomy to operate in a meaningful problem space solving real problems for real people.
  • You love collaborating with, teaching, and learning from hard-working peers on software projects.

This job may not be for you if...

  • You lack a real passion for writing high-quality secure software that is backed by an equally mature approach to testing.
  • You stress under the ambiguity of a problem and default to others to provide you with the answers.
