Site Reliability Engineer - Acceptance

RingCentral’s SRE team ensures our systems are always up & running 24x7, and that our customers are receiving the best quality of service (QoS). We work with different internal support teams to help maintain and support RingCentral services, develop and manage new releases & deployment processes, ensure transparent deployment practices across the company, and work closely with DevOps teams.
SRE Acceptance Team is responsible for the quality and service verification of RingCentral products: PBX (Major RC Office Releases, Minor Releases, HTTP Routers and etc), RCV backend/frontend, Glip frontend/backend, Zoom releases and another major updates on production and pre-production environments (as DDOS testing, Destructive testing, acceptance of new PODs, CommonLayers etc).
In other words, the team performs Post Deployment testing (Smoke per-service and per-server verifications) to be sure that no core functionality breaks (and new features are successfully enabled) after changes on Production.
Responsibilities:
Delivery and troubleshooting service updates to the staging and production platforms
Work with Operations, QA, Development teams
Work closely with virtualization/storage, network, and monitoring teams to create roll out plans or investigate issues during the deployment
Participate in automation design and improvements
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of testing theory and processes
Knowledge of the concepts of networks
Experience in web-applications testing
Practical knowledge of any widespread bug/ticket tracking system usage(e.g. Jira) or knowledge and understanding such systems main features
Understanding how to work with documentation, knowledge database
Familiar with web/desktop/mobile applications testing
Experience with monitoring tools: Kibana, Grafana, Zabbix
Intermediate knowledge of VPN
Would be a plus:
Linux troubleshooting experience
Any enterprise platform troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of common QA procedures and practices
Understanding and troubleshooting of Windows systems
Experience with Jenkins

Troubleshooting of Java, C++ applications based on enterprise technologies (Apache Kafka, ZooKeeper, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, GridGain, Coherence, etc.)
Software development lifecycle where DevOPS team plays important role
Working with SQL, bash, python or other scripting languages
Integration between Private and Public Clouds
Support of a world-wide distributed platform

If you are hired in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $88,000 and $110,500 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
