Site Infrastructure Service Engineer

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Site Infrastructure Service Engineer, are to:

  • SII International Comunity Collaboration;
    • Establish strong trustful working relationships with site infrastructure teams of the assigned region(s);
    • Develop working knowledge of site infrastructure services of the North American & Latam region;
    • Conduct regular scheduled Infrastructure Community meetings and communications with assigned region(s) to promote infrastructure information exchange and collaboration between HQ, Key, and Regular countries to leverage experiences improve site infrastructure services;
    • Promote and support service improvements across the regions in collaboration with our regional Country integration teams;
  • SII Process Management and Automation;
    • Be responsible for ongoing assessment of site infrastructure services and processes to identify and implement opportunities for improvements and automation;
    • Provide process related investigations, consulting, changes, and support related to the end-to-end delivery of site infrastructure services;
    • Provide Project Management and consulting for new or changed SII process improvement projects;
    • Build and manage SII Service-related process documentation;
    • Be responsible for designing, implementing, and management of SII related Service Catelog changes;
    • Explore current and/or solicit new potential technologies that offer opportunities to improve SII services and/or processes like SII Data Management, Analytics and Automation;
    • Drive activities to leverage current and establish new data sources (e.g. Site Data, etc.) to enhance SII service delivery and provide data transparency to improve service mgmt. (e.g. SNOW, Financial, Local provider data, etc.);
    • Be responsible and/or supports Data Modeling, Integration and Automation (e.g. RPA) for SII service-related data like SME for SII Power BI Dashboard Creation, Revisions, and Analytics (e.g. Power BI);
  • SII Demand Management and Automation;
    • Confirm various HQ SII project demand sources and conduct regular reviews of upcoming pipeline project demand and timeframe to provide better planning transparency and capacity management;
    • Own the SII project demand intake Process, Administration, Cost Routing and Automation;
    • Be responsible for the creation SII Demand dashboard and Analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant university Bachelor of Science degree in Computer science or equivalent plus 10 years of IT experience;
  • Strong Verbal and Written English skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Effective experience/capabilities building strong working relationships and collaborating internationally;
  • Proven effective organizational, leadership, and Project Management capabilities;
  • Possess a working knowledge/experience with the Bayer IT ecosystem and services, tools and processes, and infrastructure environment;
  • Strong leadership ability to make progress and pragmatic decisions despite the existence of unknowns;
  • Successful experience with defining new, revising, implementing, and automating IT service delivery processes;
  • Proven capability Service Catalog mgmt (additions, revisions, etc);
  • Experience with Data Mining, Modeling, Dashboards, and Analytic activities;
  • Candidate should be self motivating and able to progress with limited supervision or direction;
  • Ability to Travel depending upon demand.
