Work you'll do
This position is responsible for managing, designing, developing, and implementing solutions for ServiceNow Discovery for the federal government to address complex business issues. The ServiceNow Discovery Engineer will design, implement, and architect solutions implementing ServiceNow discovery and integrating applications by requirement gathering, problem resolution, and providing recommendations to customers. This role serves as the technical subject matter expert in ServiceNow discovery, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and service mapping. This individual will leverage technical expertise with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, ServiceNow Common Services Data Model (CSDM), ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) Visibility products to effectively support configuration management process and configuration management database (CMDB).

Working with Chief Information Officers, Technology Executives, Service Owners (HR, IT, Customer, Field Service, Project Portfolio Management) and their teams, they help to establish an operating model for technology, attentive to NextGen and advanced technologies, new and evolving service models for technology and the operational expectations of an organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT, IS or business-related field
- 10+ years of IT Consulting experience
- 5+ years of experience working within an ITIL framework or similar Operations model
- 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow CMDB
- Travel up to 25% or more
- Must possess the required active Secret security clearance for this role
Preferred:
- Certified Implementation Specialist Service Mapping
- Certified Implementation Specialist Event Management
- Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery
- ServiceNow Scripting/Advanced Scripting, especially JavaScript
