World Wide Technology, Inc. currently has an opportunity available for a Developer on the IT Service Management team located in St. Louis, MO. This position will focus on managing and delivering cloud-based applications built on the ServiceNow platform. WWT specializes in providing high-tech solutions and services which enable companies to better share, distribute, organize, and analyze information.

Description

The Developer is part of the IT Service Management (ITSM) team responsible for all phases of an agile software development lifecycle on the ServiceNow platform. This individual will help build and maintain the applications used to develop operational excellence in the areas of Incident, Configuration (CMDB), Change, Release, Problem, Outage, Service Request, and Knowledge Management. The deliverables are expected to meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support and expertise on all technical questions related to ServiceNow, keeping customers updated on status of requests or issues.
  • Meet and consult with customers regarding service needs; translate functional/business requirements into technical and functional designs.
  • Provide software coding and configuration including, but not limited to scripting, workflow, report setup, data imports, integrations, form design, and custom application development.
  • Develop and implement new applications or modifications to existing applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Perform unit and integration testing.
  • Provide routine system maintenance and annual platform upgrades.
  • Document implemented processes and procedures for different audiences.
  • Open and coordinate support tickets with ServiceNow vendor.
  • Provide off-hours support as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with Process Owners to ensure compliance and Continual Service Improvement (CSI) for ITSM processes.


Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes
  • Expertise in all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow platform: Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs.
  • Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications.
  • Experience with Web Technologies - JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members.
  • Self-motivated and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team player, with a strong work ethic and "can-do" attitude.
  • Experience presenting and conducting demo reviews with client stakeholder.
  • Organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or proven history of comparable work experience. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • MANDATORY: 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile, an iterative and incremental framework for developing and managing work.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management processes.

  • While position is based in St. Louis metro area, candidate may be remotely based in USA.
  • Candidates providing desired salary will be given priority consideration.
  • This position requires occasional on-call and weekend work.
