Summary of Role:

Responsible for leading the architecture strategy and driving the business requirements solution in the RTX ServiceNow platform. Drive the architect specification and support technical solutioning. Share best practices and be consultative throughout the technical design of the enhancement and projects. Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements. Co-team with the Development Lead to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements. Participate in internal projects and maintain current ServiceNow Product and Platform knowledge through self-study and utilization of tools for training

Responsibilities:

Technical designer for ServiceNow code and architecture, responsible for overall ServiceNow code quality

Responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation, and integrity of the ServiceNow application

Experience in emerging Cloud technologies with ability to balance cost against benefits

Ability to develop high level design documents addressing the business, infrastructure, security, support, and operational needs of a solution.

Good knowledge on database technologies (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL) and ETL tools (Ab Initio/Informatica)

Technical knowledge of the following areas: Java, HTML, JavaScript, LDAP/Active Directory, networking, and database administration

Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs

Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations and priorities. Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a solution that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities

Develop custom integration components (SSO, CMDB, SAS connectors etc.) and integrate legacy systems with ServiceNow using mid-tier, web services, email, and other relevant technologies

Provide administrative ServiceNow support, including advanced support via troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis

Commit to continuous improvement and learning of development and ServiceNow best practices, tools, and technology

Mentor and share technical knowledge with Service Management team

Strong background in Java Script, HTML5, CSS3 and web technologies

Ability to create reports using the standard reporting engine, plus metrics and SLAs

Experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes

Proven experience as an Lead Architect

Experience in providing guidance and driving strategic initiatives with cross functional teams

Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and with BU leads

Strategic Analysis and Planning mindset

ServiceNow & ITIL methodologies

Knowledge of how all ITIL practices work together to provide effective service product lifecycle and create business value and positive customer outcomes

Advanced Analysis skills and working with Architects to convey stakeholder functional and technical needs

Experience with small, mid, and large-scale organizational projects

Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Experience in agile software methodologies with excellent communication skills

Strong time management, managing multiple types of scope at the same time

Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to frequent change•

Education

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 8 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 5 years experience.

Required Status:

  • US Citizen or US Person required as work may involve visibility to ITAR related projects.
