The Service Engineer will improve the post-purchase experience of clinicians supporting breast cancer patients throughout North America in this critical role within Service. You will champion continuous improvement throughout service operations, be a key contributor to EU & APAC service projects, and serve as the technical expert on aftermarket support for Mammotome capital products.

This position is hybrid though will be onsite at our Cincinnati, OH facility as business needs require.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Identifies service requirements and works with R&D and Manufacturing during development to ensure delivery of a serviceable product that yields a cost-effective service operation
  • Develops service training, service manuals, and other required documentation to support the service business
  • Provides technical support to customers and worldwide service centers
  • Monitors service performance, analyzes results, recommends product improvements, and implements service process improvements
  • Uses appropriate statistical techniques to improve processes.
  • Write formal reports dealing with both technical & business implications
  • Represent service in new product development
  • Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of third-party providers
  • Oversee Service Department Calibration Program
  • Interface with customers to assist in defect reporting and resolution
  • Other duties as assigned

    Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline required
  • 3 years' experience in service/manufacturing
  • 3 years' working in a regulated environment
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Bias toward action

    Desired skills/experience
  • 5 years' experience in service/manufacturing
  • 5 years' working in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with tools of DBS
  • 3 years' experience working with customers

    Travel requirements
  • 5% travel with a mix of domestic and international locations
  • Typical work-related travel assignments range 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required
