Job Description
The Service Architect is a senior service sales role. This role is responsible for selecting the right services and convincing prospects how particular services can fulfill their cloud transformation journey. Post-sales, this role enables customers and sales leaders to tailor services for customers who are on new phases of their journey.
This role requires a deep understanding of security and networking technology, along with the ability to understand and interpret organizational dynamics. Further, the ability to engage and positively influence key technology and enterprise architecture decision makers is key. You will be required to explain, gain agreement and document how Professional Services can remove barriers and enable customer objectives and projects. Written and verbal communication is critical in this role which is often called in at the most critical junctures of major deals.
*Services Workshops
Lead transformation workshops across security, network, application, authentication, communication, and enterprise architecture teams to challenge, educate, design, and plan for a world where users, applications, and data can reside anywhere.
*Statements of Work
Create 90, 180, 365 day roadmaps with the customer that addresses their scoped business objectives, technical requirements, and Zscaler technology required. Define the services & upsell framework and explain options fully to the Sales team.
*Trusted Internal Reference
Educate internal teams on industry trends (SD WAN, M365, etc.), best practices and how solutions work over many years. Act as an interface to the Professional Services Delivery team & Sales teams for sales cycles, planning, and delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technology leadership approach that can own definitions of technical and architecture requirements for services
  • Drive technical service sales for the local GEO (AMER, EMEA or APAC)
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of networking and security architectures and engage in technical discussions with network and security architects of large enterprises.
  • Present both industry and Zscaler technical architecture as it relates to customers' and prospects' environment and technical requirements.
  • Own the room and coordinate high-level technical service workshops to gain agreement from diverse stakeholders and agendas.
  • Leverage relationships to accelerate the sales cycle.
  • Ensure the sales and customer success organizations are fully supported and have the necessary resources to be successful.


Qualifications

  • Experience for this position is typically gained by 5+ years of success in a similar role working for a vendor
  • Broad understanding of security, networking, authentication, and Internet and ISP fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of how to navigate large enterprise organization/personnel structures
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-departmental collaboration on strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on large, complex SaaS solution opportunities
  • Experience managing executive-level relationships
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills and very engaging interpersonal skills
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or equivalent work experience
