We are the content experience team at MuleSoft, a Salesforce organization, and we are looking for enthusiastic, engaged, curious writers to join us. You are passionate about providing a high-quality and enjoyable content experience for developers that helps drive product adoption and customer success. You love to learn complex new technologies and work as part of a collaborative team of technical writers, product management, engineering, and UX to create the technical topics and examples that our customers can easily find on Google. You are excited by the possibility of bringing your beginner's mindset and great ideas to help build documentation that provides a great experience for our customers.

As a technical writer, you are ultimately responsible for the complete lifecycle of the content experience for your assigned area of the product and take pride in delivering excellent content that enables our customers to achieve their goals. You are a strategic problem solver and growth-focused individual who is unafraid to ask difficult questions and is happy to provide and receive feedback.

New to Content Experience?

Seasoned Content Experience professional?

These are the core skills you'll need to be successful:

  • Ability to understand programming code and common formats, such as JSON and XML
  • Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, and cloud-based enterprise software
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, and markup language, such as AsciiDoc preferred
  • Exceptional writing skills with focus on content structure, style, and use case-driven content
  • Strong understanding of agile software development
  • Analyze and implement improvements to the existing content

What you'll achieve:

3 months:

  • You understand the core use cases for the MuleSoft product areas that you work on.
  • You are confident and skilled using the tools required to produce our documentation.
  • You are self-directed in working with engineering to gather doc requirements for upcoming releases.
  • You are proactively responding to feedback about documentation for your focused technology or technologies.
  • You have a good basic understanding of our platform.
  • You have strong relationships with cross-functional team members to manage successful technical reviews of new or existing content.

12 months:

  • You demonstrate expertise in one or more of MuleSoft product areas and know how our customers use them.
  • You have a reputation for writing trusted guidance and have built a strong working relationship with cross-functional stakeholders to draft, review, and publish content.
  • You proactively respond to and seek documentation feedback from internal and external customers.
  • You have evaluated one or more documentation sets, implemented organizational and structural changes, and taken ownership of the process of peer and technical reviews of your content.

LOCATION: Open to Fully Remote, Flex (1-3 days/week in the office), or Office-Based (4-5 days/week in office)
