The Senior Windows Engineer will support the Shared Services Windows environment to include physical, virtual, or hosted in a government cloud environment. Duties will include all Operating System support, IAVA patching, STIG compliance, management of Microsoft DHCP/DNS/AD, design and maintenance of Group Policy, management and support of domain user accounts, and continued maintenance of architecture artifacts.

Required Skills and Experience:

The windows system engineer will have 10+ years of experience and knowledge to include, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Direct experience with 2012, 2016, and 2019 Windows operating environments
• Proficient with VMware vSphere and vCenter
• Support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions, and other cloud technologies.
• Support transitioning systems and applications from traditional data centers to cloud hosted, and shall monitor the health and status of these cloud systems.
• Technical support across Engineering, Security, and System Administration competencies for solutions to hosted customer problems
• Thorough understanding and experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and creation and support of group polices.
• Develop and maintain automation scripting to include Powershell.
• Understanding of Networking and SAN principles - possess the ability to interpret server operational characteristics, accurately determine the presence of a problem, identify possible solutions, selects the most appropriate solution, and implements that solution in a timely manner IAW the Engineering Change Process (ECP).
• High attention to detail and capable of working on multiple projects or tasks in parallel
• Keep abreast of emerging network technologies to identify, research, evaluate and present concept and solutions to management for implementation considerations.

Desired/Required Skills:

• Must be a US Citizen-no H1B applications will be considered.
• Must hold an active interim or adjudicated current Defense Security Service SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in IT related field preferred
• Windows OS certification required
• Ability to execute work independently and as a member of a team
• Secret clearance or higher preferred
• 8570 compliance (i.e., Security+ and OS certifications)
• Solid knowledge of working in a Datacenter
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Reliable with exceptional work ethic
• Detail orientated with self-motivated attitude
• Collaborative, team focus to support cohesive work team
