What You'll Do
You'll develop solutions for a virtual cloud environment and identify opportunities for automation. Here's a look at how you'll spend your day:
• Designing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and supporting virtualization platforms.
• Employing DevOps principles and tools to automate processes.
• Participating in cross-functional projects as a virtualization infrastructure subject matter expert.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Performing lifecycle management and capacity planning for virtualization platforms.
• Documenting designs, policies and procedures.
• Training and mentoring team members.
• Creating automated reports
• Keeping up-to-date on new technologies and training.
• Assisting with strategic direction by providing input on new technologies, best practices and procedures.
• Participating in 24x7 on-call support rotation.

Who You Are
You're a virtualization and automation expert with a passion for technology. You're familiar with industry standards, best practices, tools, and procedures for technologies within enterprise cloud environments. Here are some requirements:
Minimum:
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field
• 4+ years of experience with VMware vRealize Automation & Orchestrator
• 4+ years of experience with VMware as an engineer or administrator in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficiency with scripting and coding.
• Proficiency in system analysis, design and optimization.
• Proficiency with executing projects through traditional methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and planning skills.
• Ability to work in a team
Preferred:
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, business information systems or related field.
• An engineering background.
