Join us on the Privacy & Security Engineering team. We are a vanguard protecting people on the internet. We embody the Mozilla manifesto principle: individuals' security & privacy are fundamental and must not be treated as optional.

We work with Product, UX, other engineering teams, as well as QA, Ops, and Legal teams across Mozilla. We build comprehensive full-stack software like Mozilla VPN, Firefox Monitor, Relay, and Containers. We code web services and APIs, web front-ends, browser extensions, and client-side apps.

What You'll Get To Do

• Collaborate with people across Product, UX, Design, Engineering, QA, Localization, Ops, and Support teams to build and maintain comprehensive privacy & security products.
• Partner with UX designers to translate design specs and mock-ups into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code that will be deployed in website front-ends and browser add-ons.
• Participate and influence the design process, adding your own creative input, providing feedback to team members, and fill design gaps as they are discovered during implementation.

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years experience turning designs into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
• Fundamental knowledge of online security concepts and products.
• Effective English communication; ability to collaborate and conduct software engineering work in the open.
• Experience with at least one of the following:
• QT framework and QML
• Non-framework (vanilla) Javascript and CSS
• Prior experience building browser extensions/add ons
