Senior Systems Engineer
ECS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work in our Washington DC office.
Job Description:
- Lead architecture development efforts following the client's approved and accepted architecture practice.
- Create and maintain architecture models effectively and ensure changes are controlled.
- Develop the necessary architecture models that answers questions to establish the to be state.
- Lead in the development of roadmaps and strategy.
- Lead in capability assessments and analysis through architecture discipline.
- Lead as needed working groups to provide and collect information to mature the architecture.
- Lead in the development of facilitation working group session material.
- Lead facilitation sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, review, socialize data, models, and analysis to get group consensus.
- Assess architecture models to identify gaps, overlaps, or areas that need to be address.
- Lead the development of various process models, data models, and network models. Must have the ability to lead architecture development working groups
- Develop presentations as needed that convey necessary information to non-architects and senior leaders
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
- Must have a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI - CI Poly eligibility
- Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in leading enterprise architecture projects for large organizations
- Industry recognized enterprise architecture certification. Example: FEAC institute.
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, manage competing agendas and priorities, and translate complex information across internal and external audiences.
- Must have expert level knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Must have expert level experience in applying and adopting the DoDAF six step process.
- Must be able to work with a team environment with teammates of different skills and experience.
- Must be able to engage with different types of stakeholders effectively.
- Must be able to multitask effectively and efficiently.
- Must have the ability to facilitate data gathering sessions from subject matter experts.
Desired Skills:
- Sustainment activities' alignment to EA and Data Management Strategy
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met
- Identify and prioritize delivery of end-user specified fixes and enhancements
- Knowledge of emerging technologies ensuring capabilities' ability to accomplish mission
- Serve as Scrum Master
