Job Overview

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be an integral member of the Technology team, developing best-in-class advancements for our systems and infrastructure. This position is expected to implement solutions without guidance, contribute to systems design frequently, act as SME for multiple required technologies, and distribute systems expertise across the team through knowledge transfer.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Servers, Citrix Virtual Desktops, virtualized servers on VMware, and underlying technology infrastructure
• Monitor events, respond to incidents, and resolve the root cause of problems
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Serve as escalation point for System Administrators and other Engineers
• Design and build new technology solutions based on business need
• Enhance and evolve system/infrastructure management and maintenance
• Contribute to system and infrastructure design and long-term planning
• Serve as an SME for multiple required technologies while mentoring peers and transferring knowledge
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support

Required Experience

• 6+ years of experience within the engineering field
• Expertise in multiple technologies including Active Directory, Windows, and Citrix Virtual Desktops
• A strong communicator both written and orally
• A self-start with analytic, problem solving and technical skills

Preferred Experience

• A University Degree or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications preferred Windows, Linux, VMware, etc.
• Sets day-to-day objectives and delivers job responsibilities that impact areas that are directly linked to own team as well as other related teams
• Expertise in Automation, scripting or coding
• Microsoft Azure and VMware experience
