Job Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will focus on automation of software processes by releasing incremental updates and developing automation scripts. You will enable rapid product development leveraging solid communication and collaboration across operations and various other teams. You will create stable operating environments by continuously improving the infrastructure to be easily deployable and scalable. And you will maintain advanced knowledge of agile methodology, development processes, and programming languages.

• Experience installing and maintaining highly available platforms such as ActiveMQ
• Experience managing Kafka, preferably Confluent Kafka SaaS offering
• Experience supporting dozens, if not hundreds of Microservices in Kubernetes
• Experience supporting Spring Boot, Java microservices with Apache Camel
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Cloud formation, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Python
• Experience deploying applications to Cloud Platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP
• Experience monitoring, alerting, and creating dashboards using tools such as NewRelic, Splunk or DynaTrace
• Experience Tuning and Troubleshooting of JVMs
• Solid understanding of High Availability architecture and Disaster Recovery / BCP capabilities
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix (CentOS, Alpine, RHEL) systems
• Good understanding of Security best practices
• Capability to delegate and manage work effectively, partnering with offshore resources
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support or escalations
• Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience working in the field of IT, specifically in middleware technologies
• Experience with performance tuning of messaging/streaming platforms
• Experience supporting Go-lang microservices
• Experience installing and maintaining Weblogic
• Experience working with NoSql solutions such as Redis, Elastic, Couchbase
• Good technical knowledge of application networking, firewalls, and load balancing solutions
• Ability to work in shifts to ensure business continuity
