We are currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer.
Description The Systems Engineer will function as an integral member of a team of Government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support to the MDA Chief Architect's Office Integrated Air and Missile Defense Technical Authority (IAMD TA) Directorate. The IAMD TA Directorate is an architecture development organization under the MDA Chief Architect's Office. The team provides architecture development support, program research, engineering, and advanced capability development and demonstration support for Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense working in conjunction with the military services, combatant commands, prime contractors, and joint staff.
The candidate will work in support of the Director, IAMD TA as a Systems Engineer participating in the development of JADC2 systems requirement development, capability demonstration, system architecture documentation, capability modeling.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering or Computer Science and twelve (12) years or more experience in Systems Engineering and Architecture development
Required Skills Understanding of established Systems Engineering processes and concepts Experience defining, conducting, and evaluating requirement verification activities Familiar with Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Architecture Development Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition and Life Cycle Management System
Required Clearance An active Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications Experience with Joint IAMD Command, Control and Communications platforms Knowledge of the MDA Systems Engineering process Experience with software development, maturation, and testing Experience with US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corp, or MDA Command and Control Systems and Data Networks Experience working with the Joint Staff Required Capabilities Development and Gaps processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, including report writing Self-motivated and customer-oriented
