Job Description

As a Senior System Architect, you will be responsible for determining systems architectural strategy, support strategies, and developing techniques to improve system performance. You will implement and maintain technical architectures, frameworks, and enhancements while managing the relationship with support teams and acting as a point of contact for support escalations. You will diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot complex technical problems to resolve issues. Finally, you will mentor and lead junior members of the team. We are looking for someone who thrives on working with large-scale, distributed systems and is always looking for ways to automate manual tasks.

Working Environment

Hybrid or Remote

This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:• At least eight years of combined related work experience and completed higher education.• At least two years of system engineering or system architecture work experience.• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering, or extensive work experience in these fields.• Eligible to receive an appropriate U.S. Government security clearance applicable for your position.

Preferred Qualifications:• Experience managing production systems running Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy • Experience managing production systems running Linux or UNIX.• Experience with Citrix deployment and administration. • Experience with networking and network troubleshooting.• Experience with IBM WebSphere.

Expectations:• Willing to travel up to 10% as needed• Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations• Ability to participate in on-call rotation • Work under corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within the scope of the position

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. The client contract also requires receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for the position.
