What you’ll be responsible for:
SeedInvest is the leading equity crowdfunding platform in the U.S., offering a two-sided marketplace for issuers and investors and enabling internet-native private capital markets to grow and flourish. SeedInvest dramatically changes the way private companies can raise capital and offers investors direct access to seed and growth stage private companies. SeedInvest supports a rapidly growing marketplace of ~500,000+ investors and hundreds of entrepreneurs and startups, deploying over $300 million into nearly 250 startups across a wide range of sectors, stages, and geographies.
As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer on the SeedInvest team, you will directly contribute to 1) investors, 2) founders and startups, and 3) internal users on the platform by
- Leading teammates to design, develop, test and ship phenomenal features and products
- Driving the developmental design, testing and maintenance of our platform
- Actively collaborating with management, product team members, and other engineers to help realize business and technical visions
- Introducing and driving practice of best-in-class development processes
- Managing technical debt to ensure development velocity stays responsive and predictable
- Engaging and mentoring team members and helping grow and scale the team
- Eventually becoming an expert on startup investing, venture capital, and fundraising
What you'll bring to SeedInvest:
Senior Software Engineer (III)
- 4+ years of relevant experience in software development
- Experience and track record in designing, building, and deploying secure, scalable services
- Ability to work well cross-functionally
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, think rigorously and make hard decisions/tradeoffs quickly and correctly
- Comfort in a fast-pace environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibilities
- Experience with Angular/Vue, Django/Python and cloud services AWS
- Understanding of API design and REST principles
- Experience with web application design, scalability, and framework
Staff Software Engineer (IV)
- 7+ years of relevant experience in software development
- Tech lead in designing, building, and deploying secure, scalable services
- Ability to work very well cross-functionally
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, think rigorously and make hard decisions/tradeoffs quickly and correctly
- Comfort in a fast-pace environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibilities
- Extensive experience with Angular/Vue, Django/Python and cloud services AWS
- Deep understanding of API design and REST principles
- Deep and broad experience with web application design, scalability, and frameworks
- Mentoring other members in the team on coding or design standards.
