Job Description

The Staff Software Engineer, Apple Tech reports to the Director of Engineering. We are hiring a full-time Mac/iOS Engineer at Staff Software Engineer level to join the mobile engineering team. You will be building products that secure mobile devices, application and data. This is a very visible, key role within our engineering group.

Responsibilities:

• Research Mac/iOS platforms, Security
• Develop and maintain Mac/iOS applications and frameworks
• Work with product managers to translate the product requirements to technical requirements.
• Translate designs and mockups into high quality code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer escalations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience
• Expert in Objective C (5+ years) and C++ (3+ years)
• Expert in Mac/iOS internals (networking stack and device management)
• Strong experience and understanding of networking protocols
• Experience with PKI, network security technologies and protocols
• Strong knowledge of Mac/iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the Mac/iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and Apple Push Notifications
• Familiarity with Mac installers and packages
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree from four-year college or university (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline)

Desired Skills:

• Experience implementing vpn, firewall type solutions on Mac/iOS
• Experience in security industry
• Worked on platform-level component specific to Mac/iOS
• Experience or familiarity with Android platform
