How You'll Help Us Connect The World:

This position will be a part of our Home Networks group and work on development and maintenance features of CommScope's satellite receiver Set Top Boxes. You will be involved in all phases of software development process including design, implementation, unit testing, software integration, release, post-release customer support. Candidate is expected to have proven device driver development and troubleshooting background, as well as have high level application development experience. This role also works with test team and customer to resolve issues reported from device verification testing and feature system testing. A successful applicant in this role would make a strong impact by being an upbeat teammate with strong interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of proven expertise in real-time embedded software development
  • Configuration Management experience using GIT, Stash/bitbucket and Gerrit, experience with source control procedures and release tools such as Flexera, experience in maintaining and modifying build systems
  • Proven working experience on embedded programming on Linux, middleware development, device drivers
  • C, C++, STL and Boost in an embedded environment
  • Solid understanding on application integration, IPC and API presented to applications, Object oriented design and Real-time programming
  • Driver development experience: Video, Audio, Tuner, USB, and Ethernet

  • Excellent working knowledge on security principle, code signing and package verification
  • Hands on experience on boot code and board bringup, SoC vendor libraries
  • Satellite system knowledge or Set Top Box working experience
