Job Description Data & Analytics for End User Workspace is a dynamic and critical product portfolio used by critical functions across JPMC like Cyber Attack Analysis, Infrastructure Operations, HR employee analytics and the firms Operating Committee (Executive Leadership) to make key decisions. The covers data and analytics for employee behaviour, assets, and products.
It is seldom that you will come across datasets as large as the volumes we deal with on a daily basis, so big data knowledge for both batch reporting and real time stream analytics is important to us.
The team is constantly striving to innovate with the latest cutting edge data technologies and tools. We encourage a culture of experimentational and risk taking, to develop intellectual property and file patents
As a member of our Digital Workplace Analytics team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovative and very large-scale data analytics.
The successful candidate is someone that has strong programming fundamentals and can think analytically to leverage data and applicable technology for creating real time insights into the firm's use of workplace technology by its 250,000+ employees.
Expertise working with large scale distributed systems, big data technology, and high-volume streaming analytics is essential. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner regularly with your many stakeholders to stay focused on common goals.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Essential Skills: -

  • Expertise working with large scale big data systems, architectures, and implementation - Splunk, Hadoop or Cassandra. Working experience with noSQL data platforms (Cassandra or MongoDB)
  • Hands-on experience with data architecture, data modeling, database design
  • Experience in messaging platform like Kafka and Stream processing (Storm, Spark Streaming, etc)
  • Must have development experience Ansible, Python or Scala
  • Well versed with Agile practices such as Scrum
  • Experience with version control tools and processes (e.g. Git)
  • Experience with deployment, CI / CD management tools like Jenkins, Chef or similar


Preferred Skills: -

  • Experienced with Instrumenting/Logging, and Metrics/Monitoring using tools such as Splunk, Logstash or Fluentd.
  • Experience implementing microservices based architectures, GraphQL
