Senior Specialist Solution Architect
Job summary
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will promote the sharing and adoption of Red Hat's application platform solutions with telecommunications (telco) accounts. You'll support Red Hat's software strategy by enabling customers to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation middleware strategies.
Primary job responsibilities
- Build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders to promote Red Hat's portfolio of middleware solutions including application development, application and service hosting, business rules management, business process management (BPM), content aggregation, data federation, and service integration on-site or in the cloud
- Work with the Telco Sales teams to plan the overall middleware strategy within a set of defined accounts
- Guide customers from initial adoption of basic application server and hybrid cloud technology and account growth to include rules engines, BPM platforms, enterprise service buses (ESBs), enterprise messaging, and portals
- Work with the Enterprise Sales teams to ensure that Red Hat Middleware and related solutions become the first choice for Red Hat's strategic customers by creating strategic customer relationships, developing and closing sustainable revenue across technologies, guiding the extended Sales team to maximize revenue growth, and forecasting and closing sales in alignment with company goals
- Install, monitor, maintain Red Hat products including Red Hat Process Automation Manager, Red Hat Decision Manager, and Red Hat OpenShift Container platform
- Perform troubleshooting of the Red Hat products such as Red Hat Process Automation Manager, Red Hat Decision Manager, and Red Hat OpenShift Container platform to restore normal functioning
- Analyze and develop software solutions to plan the overall middleware strategy within a set of defined accounts; guide customers from their initial adoption of basic application server and hybrid cloud technology and grow the account to include rules engines, BPM platforms, enterprise service buses (ESBs), enterprise messaging, and portals
- Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards for Red Hat products like Red Hat Process Automation Manager, Red Hat Decision Manager, and Red Hat OpenShift Container platform
- Define goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs
- Provide associates and users with assistance to resolve computer related problems, like malfunctions and program problems
- Use object-oriented programming languages, as well as client and server applications development processes and multimedia and Internet technology
- Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate coding issues, and correct coding and errors
- Recommend new equipment or software packages
Required skills
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in mathematics, computer information systems, computer science, or related field and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
- 5+ years of experience with: Red Hat Middleware, TIBCO Middleware, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, or MuleSoft enterprise middleware; Red Hat BPM, TIBCO BPM, or Pega enterprise Business Process Management (BPM); and Red Hat AMQ, Apache ActiveMQ, IBM WebSphere MQ (WMQ) Apache Kafka, or TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (EMS) messaging technologies
- 3+ years of experience with API management, like Red Hat API management, TIBCO API management, MuleSoft Anypoint, or Apigee
- 1+ year(s) of experience with: Java technology; cloud platforms, like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible; and CI/CD, SOAP, XML, XSLT, REST, JSON, and XPATH
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time; travel expenses reimbursed by Red Hat, Inc.
