Role Summary

The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for planning, designing and debugging software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. This position develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.

This a great RAN Operations opportunity for a self-starter who likes breaking the code and can challenge System Engineers, Architects and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Going through 3GPP standards, architectural and design documents to come up with thorough and in-depth test strategy for 4G, 5G SA and NSA features for testing 4G/5G eNodeB/gNodeB functionalities.
  • Ability to come up with test strategy with limited lab resources and various tools and simulators.
  • Ability to technically guide the team members to make them productive and removing the day to day roadblocks for them.
  • Creating test scripts using available test tools. This will involve getting familiarized with the test tools and figuring out innovative ways of re-creating practically possible scenarios.
  • Ability to create/build test setups as per the test strategy of the feature.
  • Executing test cases and validating the test status based on the expectations for the test case.
  • Ability to fully understand system logs, test tool logs and use this understanding for debugging issues and identifying accurate root causes for the problems seen on the system under test or in the network.
  • Using the test expertise and identifying overall improvements and enhancements which are possible on the system.
  • Debugging field data and identifying potential problems and re-creating the same in the lab
  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
  • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.



Job Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of 5G Access domain
  • Thorough understanding of 3GPP specs across L1 L2 and L3.
  • Hands on work experience of testing 5G gNodeBs
  • Hands on experience in using test tools including but not limited to
  • UE simulators like Aeroflex TM500 and Keysight.
  • UE debuggers like QXDM, XCAL and TEMS
  • Channel Emulators
  • Network Emulators
  • Application traffic generators like iPerf, IxLoad etc
  • Knowledge of message flows and parameters used in the messages for 5G procedures
  • 8+ years of industry experience in Testing for LTE/4G/5G technologies
