The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Software Requirements Engineer to join the world-class, collaborative team developing software in Seal Beach, CA or Kennedy Space Center, FL.
As a highly productive, self-motivated member of Boeing Defense, Space & Security, you will work with multiple engineering and support groups, on both ongoing efforts and exciting future projects for dynamic, exciting programs.
Position Responsibilities:

• Support authoring requirements, including upper level specification updates and linkage.
• Review software test descriptions, scripts and logs to ensure test products verify requirements.
• Support formal qualification testing.
• Effectively communicate with internal customers during development and after product release.
• Be responsible for several parallel tasks as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team of systems and software engineers.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 1+ years' experience decomposing system/subsystem requirements into software requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 6 years.
• Technical experience in an aerospace environment.
• Technical experience with DOORS.
• Self-motivation, critical thinking, and taking initiative with minimal instruction.
• Problem solving and trouble shooting in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong communication skills and desire to integrate within a team that works under the principles of respect, trust, open-mindedness and fun.
• Values relationships and honors commitments.
• Passion for innovation and creative exploration of new technologies.
• Experience leading teams.
• Experience with flight management.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
