Hotel Engine is seeking a Senior Software QA Manager to join our engineering department and lead our QA organization. The Senior Software QA Manager will be a critical and high-impact team member that will be tasked to organize, structure, build and improve processes to ensure that we deliver high quality software to our customers. This role will report to the VP of Engineering.
The Senior Software QA Manager's mission is to grow and evolve the QA organization across our engineering department by setting our strategy for QA, setting OKRs, and executing on them to build a world class team. This person will work closely with teams and leadership to achieve a strong environment that enhances and protects organizational value. You will advise the business and engineering groups to make valuable recommendations on QA and software delivery. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, are passionate about technology, and are able to focus on key issues and the details that come with it.

10+ years of experience in QA or software engineering
5+ years of experience in QA management or software engineering management
Experience with modern software applications
Experience managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment, accountability/ownership for the audit project lifecycle
Ability to discuss and summarize complex, technical topics at an executive level
Manage QA Leads and our QA Automation teams
Help mentor, coach, and hire QA engineers
Evolve our processes in QA to ensure high quality software delivery
Create OKRs and monitor KPIs to show progress and success of teams
Hire and retain QA team members
Set best practices for the QA org and ensuring that they are being followed
Set technical strategy and own road maps and deliverability goals
Improve our career path and training for team members in the QA org
Set budgets and forecast spend on tools for QA
Help with release strategy and our CI/CD pipeline
Carrying out QA strategy on how we work across teams and technology verticals in engineering
Ability to quickly shift priorities and resources in a fast growing company
Cash compensation:
The total cash compensation for this role is $130,000-$175,0000/year with an annual bonus target of up to 15%. Overall Total Earning potential including the bonus is $149,500-$201,250 in addition to stock options. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above

- This role is eligible for remote work and you can work from anywhere in the U.S.
