The Sr. Quality Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining test scenarios and test scripts for software IT projects within Retail Systems The position will have a strong track record of understanding test methodologies and the flexibility to work in both agile and waterfall environments. The ideal candidate will be someone with a background in testing and quality with an emphasis on processes, planning and management. 

Justification: The Retail Test team supports Retail initiatives for both new Amazon integration projects and enhancements to our existing POS systems, including payments. With this, there is an immediate need to hire a resource who has skills to support and manage the complex Retail QA environments and help with the testing activities of the IGT project and other Amazon Integration projects that will need access to the Amazon Workspaces that only WFM Team Members can get access to. This resource is expected to work as a part of a team in sprints and will be responsible for testing activities including test scenario and test script planning, creation and maintenance, execution of functional scripts, E2E testing, facilitating UAT, regression testing and coordinating test environments. This resource is also responsible for creating automated test reports in qTest for test metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements and design documents as input to test design.
  • Follow and maintain testing best practices.
  • Collaborate with test leads and test team members to plan, design, validate, and coordinate with the TechOps team for Retail test environments.
  • Partner with other teams to create integrated tests between systems.
  • Keep up to date on testing best practices in the industry.
  • Work closely with the Retail QA team leader and Delivery lead to plan environments for releases.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years working in an IT Software testing and quality team.
  • 4 years of experience with leading and managing test activities.
  • Understanding of software testing terminology and processes.
  • Ability to assess and identify potential risks to projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess great problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong IT relationships across teams.
  • Exhibit the flexibility necessary to effectively manage change and thrive in an evolving organization.
  • Ability to balance work between immediate demands and long-term objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Test Tools including test management and reporting tools.
  • Experience with manual testing.
  • Knowledge of Testing best practices, methodologies, and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on retail or POS systems projects.
