What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be an integral part of PayIt’s innovative and agile engineering team. You will provide technical leadership over an area of the PayIt platform and will lead one or more teams of three to ten software engineers. You will work closely with Product Management, Design, and other Engineering leaders to design a robust, modular, scalable Platform that delivers on our Clients’ needs. Applying your leadership experience more broadly, you will work with other leaders to improve alignment, communication, and collaboration between engineering teams.

What You’ll Need to Have:

  • 8+ years of professional development experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience building strong, self-managing teams
  • Experience designing and building large-scale, multi-tenant cloud software
  • Proven ability to prioritize and project manage across multiple projects without sacrificing quality
  • Commitment to iterative development
  • Understanding of CI/CD techniques and experience implementing them
  • Desire to lead project planning with ability to estimate completion times within an Agile framework
  • Excellent communication skills, good presentation skills, and highly collaborative
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages, Java, C#, Javascript, Python preferred

Desired Skills (Bonus Points For):

  • Experience with developing real time payments systems
  • Experience with observability tools
  • Experience with devops tools
  • Experience with Jira or similar tracking tools
  • Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket or similar tools
