The Position

Senior Software Engineering Manager

 

What We Need

An experienced and passionate software manager to build and lead a software development team with a mission to develop a brand new web-based healthcare payments platform in the cloud. You will use your technical skills and leadership experience building distributed web applications to inspire and enable a high performing team of engineers to deliver big outcomes together.



Your Area of Focus

  • Build a new healthcare payments web platform in the cloud - from concept to commercialization
  • Build and grow a team of web service engineers, front-end developers and quality engineers
  • Lead architecture, planning, quality and engineering execution
  • Ensure all code written is high-quality, extensible, scalable, maintainable
  • Proactively identify and solve problems and remove blockers for self and team
  • Coach and manage career growth of engineers - aligning to business goals

 

Your Professional Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience designing and building web applications
  • 4+ years of people management experience at a software development company
  • Proven success record building web platforms from design to commercialization
  • Expert in the architecture, development, build, test, release, and maintenance of performant, scalable, and reliable products and technology
  • Proficient in developing distributed web-based applications with Java and Spring/Spring Boot
  • Working knowledge of React, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience partnering with product managers and designers in an agile work environment
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Transparent with leadership about challenges and proposing solutions to address them
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules to coordinate successful releases
  • Understanding of best practices including CI/CD, clean code, TDD, etc.
