We are looking to hire a talented application architect with strong expertise on Java and public cloud concepts. Knowledge of business architecture in Health Services environment, along with information/data architecture domains is critical to effectively design high quality production ready applications and solutions from the onset as well as leverage legacy applications to delivery effective value in support of business needs. Another significant function of this position is to design these services and solutions with testing, reliability, maintainability and high availability foremost to ensure reuse and high quality optimal delivery to business partners. Also, provides thought leadership and technical expertise of the application architecture to ensure that software developed conforms to standards and industry best practices for high performance, scalable, secure and functionally rich applications.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with technology managers and the design teams to ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Assisting the engineering teams with cloud migration.
• Examining and defining current architecture systems.
• Designing secure scalable architecture systems for (on-prem & cloud) Java-based applications.
• Identifying the hardware and software infrastructure needs to accommodate the company's architectural goals.
• Troubleshooting design flaws and system bottlenecks.
• Performing validation tests to ensure the flexibility and scalability of the Java environment.
• Assisting the engineering teams with application integration.
• Performing code reviews on engineering teams.
• Improving the developer experience for engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science.
• Previous work experience as a software or Java architect.
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture.
• Proficiency with Java, Maven, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript, etc
• Experience with on-prem (preferably PCF) and cloud (preferably AWS) platforms.
• Experience with the design and implementation of software networks.
• Experience with software design and web programming.
• High-level project management skills.
• Ability to solve complex software system issues.
• Good communication skills.

• Experience with OpenShift.
• Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $115,100 - $191,800, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
