Dragos is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer interested in developing solutions to help safeguard the world’s industrial infrastructure in a highly collaborative team at Dragos. We set our goal as best in class and are looking for team players who set these same standards for themselves.

Responsibilities

• Work closely within a single scrum team to build features in support of Dragos' products
• Work collaboratively with various agile teams to ensure all components function together for the overall system
• Design and build modular components
• Develop production code for new features and bug fixes
• Participate in peer code reviews and pull requests
• Develop core components of our Dragos Platform written in python
• Support data ingest of network data into the Elastic Stack
• Design and develop highly scalable engines to support analytics used to detect cyber threat activity
• Refactoring and improving existing code for performance and simplicity
• Design and write automated tests that will ensure the integrity of our software

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing and debugging distributed software in multiple languages
• Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Kibana; (Index Configuration, Sharding, Partitioning, Aliases, Performance Tuning Clusters knowledge is ideal)
• Experience with basic Linux administration and shell scripting
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8S/K3S, Helm), and Linux-based OS development (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.)
• Understanding of underlying networking technologies (IP addresses, MAC, layers, protocols)
• Experience with unit and automated testing frameworks
• Experience with developing distributed systems, developing software for a network appliance, designing APIs, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or other NoSQL databases, or RabbitMQ/similar
• US Permanent Resident, US Citizen, or Canadian Citizen (Must be able to pass background checks)

Compensation

• Base Salary: $168,000
• Base + Benefits + Equity = $290,000
• Comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K with match)
• Equity at Dragos is quickly growing and the total compensation under-represents the future growth and refresh program. This will be discussed on the first call with the Dragos recruiter.
