We're looking for talented Software Engineers who want to start or grow their careers with a rapidly-scaling tech company. You'll be part of a multi-functional and fully-distributed team, collaborating with designers, front-end and back-end developers, cloud / DevOps engineers, and product managers. We have interesting & impactful projects across all parts of our tech stack & product.

Our tech:

• The main pieces of our back-end stack are Ruby on Rails, AWS RDS and S3 for persistence, Redis/Sidekiq and Heroku for running the workload. On the front-end we use JS/TS on React and GraphQL with Apollo, but we consider ourselves platform agnostic. Notarize platform offers a powerful REST API for integrations, which is a centerpiece of our scaling strategy.
• A willingness to learn and experiment with new tech is much more important than hands-on experience with our current stack. Most importantly, we want thoughtful, collaborative engineers who are comfortable adapting to new technology and new opportunities. We are solving complex challenges to scale our transactional volume to 10x, 100x, or even more to meet the rapid growth of the company.

What you'll do as a Software Engineer:

• Design, build, extend, and support a highly available and scalable infrastructure
• Be involved in all phases of development, from ideation to release and tracking and analyzing the impact of shipped features
• Thoroughly test your own code, from unit tests to automated end-to-end tests
• Ship code in weekly sprints
• Provide critical input on the design of our technologies and services
• Participate in daily stand-ups, software design sessions, code reviews, and sprint retrospectives

What we're looking for:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a technical major
• Hands-on experience building and shipping software and web applications, through co-ops or internships
• Curiosity about new technologies and a desire to always use the best tools for the job
• Ability to contribute effectively on any part of the stack - from back-end services to data layers to web interfaces
• Belief in thorough unit test coverage
• Desire to create quality products and tools that people can actually use
