Job Description

Summary:

As a Software Engineer Connectivity - Dicom you will participate in requirements, design, development, and testing of software systems and their integration with other software and hardware subsystems of one of the most advanced medical devices in the market today. This position will focus on connectivity between our systems with external vendors and within our systems. Our work makes a daily impact on the lives of many patients around the world. Our team makes sure that our products are well made and of high quality.

Software Engineer Connectivity - Dicom: Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs. Using current programming language and technologies writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly impact the development and architecture of the software that creates, stores, and delivers patient treatments.
  • Drive critical design and implementation decisions that affect how a complex multi-million dollar machine delivers radiation therapy to improve the lives of cancer patients.
  • Work closely with other team members to implement quality applications that meet or exceed our rigorous tests.
  • Participate in decisions affecting high-performance computing hardware, operating systems, languages, and libraries.
  • Cross-pollinate the team with the theory and practice of software development, object-oriented design, and computer languages.
  • Present concise designs through written and oral reviews.

Qualifications:

a. Required

  • BS Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in C#.
  • Exposure to DICOM.
  • Experience with services-based architecture.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Exposure to automated unit testing frameworks.
  • Experience in developing cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design, and proper use of design patterns and anti-patterns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.



b. Preferred or Desired

  • Experience working in back-end and middle-tier services.
  • Experience with relational models and databases.
  • Experience working with data transformation.
  • Experience with Medical Devices or Regulated environments.
