You have a life. We like that about you.

At OCLC, we believe you'll do the best work of your life when you're living the best life possible.

We work hard to build the technology that connects thousands of today's libraries. But we also work hard to make a job at OCLC a meaningful part of a balanced life- not a substitute for one.

Technology with a Purpose. OCLC supports thousands of libraries in making information more accessible and more useful to people around the world. OCLC provides shared technology services, original research and community programs that help libraries meet the ever-evolving needs of their users, institutions, and communities. With office locations around the globe, OCLC employees are dedicated to offering premier services and software to help libraries.

The Job Details are as follows:

The Analytics Product team at OCLC builds new products to help the world's libraries run more efficiently and better serve their communities. Our first launch, a web-based application that lets libraries understand their collection and compare it to their peers, is going to market this fall and we're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to both support the launch and to build our future products.

Our application delivers its data by using React and that's where this role will contribute the most so we're looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience. You'll be part of a small team that owns the entire application so you've got 5-7 years of total experience working with a full stack of web software in the cloud (we're AWS, but any cloud experience counts). Because this role is part of OCLC's Data Science and Analytics department, experience with analytics or data management is an advantage.

Longer term you'll be an important part of OCLC's goal to quickly build and frequently release new analytic products that help our libraries. You will engage with teams starting from idea generation to requirement definition through the actual build, release and support. There is room to grow in this role and we're looking for someone who can grow with us.
