OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Innovation Department. 

As a Senior Software Engineer on our User Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to write codes to the standard of Sidecar’s internal best practices while being a technical leader among other engineers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years of Javascript experience in a production environment
  • Experience with a modern JavaScript UI framework (e.g. React, Angular)
  • Experience with web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, REST, etc.)
  • Experience with version control (Git)
  • Experience with CI/CD and Docker
  • General knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Giving and receiving code reviews
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

BONUS:

  • General knowledge of React and TypeScript
  • Working knowledge of GraphQL and Kubernetes

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and deliver new features of Sidecar's frontend technology as a senior member of a project team
  • Provide technical guidance to more junior engineers on your team
  • Improve user experience on our existing features and help maintain stable, scalable codebases
  • Develop and maintain a React-powered single-page application and micro-frontend architecture
  • Write unit tests to ensure quality code is delivered
  • Lead development of full-stack projects with a focus on frontend feature development
  • Deliver features that meet company, product, and team goals and standards
  • Be accountable for successful technical delivery that meets company, product, and team goals
