The Genesys Cloud Search platform provides information retrieval to power end-user search, data analysis, automated discovery, and recommendation-based systems. We provide near real-time ingestion and retrieval of data that drives communication, business workflow, and purchase decisions. The millions of events and large datasets that we handle daily results in terabytes of data that we process to answer critical questions. Successful Sr Software Engineer, Test will:

• Expand our existing Java test automation framework and test coverage
• Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments.
• Learn the Genesys Cloud application in detail to setup different testing scenarios and exercise many product features
• Actively review code and provide peer feedback.
• Lead test automation efforts
• Collaborate with the development team to understand how new features should be tested and to contribute to automated tests for the new features. Work concurrently with developers to write tests as features are coded
• Work in a timely and efficient manner to help steward regular procession of iterative production releases of backend microservices, help discover bugs, protect against regressions, and monitor production performance

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience writing API tests in Java
• Experience collaborating on Java codebases and running Java apps locally
• Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication, HTTP, and making API requests with a variety of tools
• Working experience with AWS cloud platform.
• Comfortable working on the command line locally and on remote servers
• Experience developing testing automation code iteratively as part of an agile development team.
• Writing test automation code in Java
• Knowledge and understanding of modern Java language features

The ideal candidate would also have experience with:

• Experience with scale testing
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Developing test automation in Python is a nice to have
• Experience with specific AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, and CloudFormation
• Running automated tests to ensure production system stability.
• Comfortable conversing and learning about distributed backend cloud architecture
