Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead application team for selected projects
  • Software design experience using object-oriented patterns, SOLID, and similar development principles
  • Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Design, build and deploy scalable solutions by applying engineering concepts like algorithms, data structures and development best practices
  • Use best practices and experience to design, code, build, and test software solutions
  • Determine best technical solutions and document detailed design based on requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
  • Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
  • Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs
  • Participates in requirements gathering, program design, and database design
  • Uses technical knowledge and experience to resolve development and support issues
  • May lead and direct the work of others, including code reviews and mentoring other staff on industry best practices
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to accomplish goals
  • Familiar with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps
  • Use best practices and experience to design, code, build, and test software solutions
  • Determine best technical solutions and document detailed design based on requirements
  • Ability to take on a complex technical problem that is not well-defined, decompose into manageable tasks, provide proper estimates, and lead/coordinate other team members to collective deliver the end solution
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work concurrently on multiple tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of development and testing experience in C# / .Net or .Net Core
  • 5+ years of development experience on Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
  • 5+ years of Applications Developer experience
  • 5+ years working experience with API REST web services
  • 4+ years of SDLC or DevOps experience
  • 4+ years Database Design/Programming (Stored Procedures/Functions)
  • 3+ years of experience with HTML or CSS
  • Experience functioning as a lead or a mentor


Preferred Qualifcation:

  • Experience in Web development, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, MVC

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
