Optum Enterprise Information Security seeks a Senior Engineer - with the specialization in application security. Engineer filling this role will be responsible for designing and configuring advanced security features with a razor-sharp focus on automation. This position will be accountable for configuring, designing and developing advanced security capabilities across Enterprise Information Security and UHG.

We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience in coding and/or scripting with a passion for security.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on role in a dynamic environment.
- Partner with various teams and app owners to drive remediation.
- Provide technical guidance of resolution to various engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain partnership with engineering and infrastructure team.
Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of hands-on coding in any of the Java with Spring/Springboot, Kafka, Maven/Gradle.
- Familiarity with one or more (Python, node, Golang)
- Strong technical background with eagerness to learn all aspects of security (network, app, system)
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, docker)
- Experience with public cloud (Azure, AWS, gcp)
- Solid database skills: SQL and/or NoSQL
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering field
