What You'll Be DoingWe are looking for a lead software engineer to help us deliver high quality features and improvements to the core Tableau Online experience. Stylish team helps customers engage seamlessly with our products, find and navigate to data that is most relevant to them. We are looking for passionate developers who can work across a variety of technology stacks, and contribute to the design and creation of simple, powerful, high-quality software. You will be part of a highly collaborative team full of talented professionals who are dedicated to help people "see and understand their data."

Some Of The Things You'll Be Doing Include

• Provide key input on architectures and best engineering practices
• Develop and improve complex UI and backend features
• Create and refine your designs in collaboration with product owners, managers, and peers
• Take a full ownership of features that team supports - design, develop, test, deploy and monitor
• Collaborate with others and share constructive feedback
• Represent our team's technical strategies across teams

Who You Are

• Passionate about design and architecture while remaining customer focus and adhere to agile principles of incremental delivery of value to customers.
• Experienced in building scalable code and distributed systems.
• Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bring positive atmosphere and opened to new ideas and growth.
• Fast learner. Able to quickly ramp up on new technologies.
• Excellent development skills with Java and React.

Highly Technical: You love writing things that "just work" - things that are robust, scalable, and that perform well. You have a strong understanding of software architectures relevant to multi-tier client applications.

Experienced: 3-4 years of experience in software engineering or equivalent. CS degree or equivalent experience. Includes experience with both Frontend and Backend languages and technologies. Services background a plus.

A True Team Player: You enjoy collaborating, learning from or teaching others so we can all become better developers. You assume good intent in others, and actively do your part to make a positive work environment.

Self-Motivated: You do good work, and lots of it, and not because your boss is watchingthe drive to deliver is just a part of you.
