*The team for this role is located in Seattle. If you are already located in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, or Los Angeles, you can work remotely from that location. However, if you are located elsewhere, you must be open to relocating to Seattle once employees return to the office.* \\n \\nA Senior Engineer is part of a key team of Nordstrom Technology professionals that applies scientific, mathematical, and social principles to design, build, and maintain technology products, devices, systems, and solutions. These technology products and solutions provide amazing customer experiences while meeting the needs of the business.The scope, responsibility and accountability is at the functional level. \\n \\nSupply Chain technology transformation is central to Nordstrom's strategic vision and our leadership is investing in our growth. In the past year, we've aggressively begun streamlining our technology to support a scalable and AI driven supply chain network. This will provide the foundation to quickly integrate state of the art automated, omni-channel fulfillment and distribution management systems. Nordstrom's supply chain services process hundreds of thousands of orders per day, with transactions in tens of millions of dollars per day, and account for roughly half of the company's multi-billion dollar sales for the year. \\n \\nWe have several new roles that will be opening soon for Nordstrom's critical Supply Chain Technology teams - Fulfillment, Reverse Logistics, Warehouse Management and Transportation systems. \\n \\nKey programs include: \\n\\nTransform the Nordstrom Supply Chain network, by integrating state-of-the-art, warehouse management and automated fulfillment and inventory management systems \\n\\nDevelop systems that support complex material flow for omni-channel fulfillment centers - inventory movement, order fulfillment, shipping and data capture/analytics \\n\\nWork with external partners in the development of robotic material handling systems and storage solutions that meet the requirements of the supply chain business \\n\\nRevolutionize the company's order routing and fulfillment space by building services at scale which optimally balance profitability, customer satisfaction and speed of delivery, and weaving data science, machine learning models with advanced optimization algorithms and techniques. \\n\\nAdvance Nordstrom's best-in-class returns policy with a seamless reverse logistics flow designed to significantly improve customer returns experience while drastically reducing "time to restock and sell" the items. \\n\\n\\nA day in the life... \\n\\nResponsible for feature design; evaluate designs and provide feedback \\n\\nImplement complex features within owned services, which satisfy business objectives, with high quality \\n\\nInfluence quality standards and understand, identify, measure across entire solution \\n\\nMaintain high level of coding, testing and engineering standards\\n\\nAnalyze service errors, identify performance issues and optimize solutions \\n\\nDemonstrate strong knowledge of security coding practices and secure system fundamentals \\n\\nLead projects inside teams with focus on outcomes and customer experience \\n\\n\\nYou own this if you have... \\n\\nBachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering\\n\\n4+ years professional experience as a software development engineer\\n\\n3+ years of experience having actively used Java or Go to write production code\\n\\n3+ years of experience in full SDLC for 2+ cloud services at scale (minimum 10s of TPS), having led and contributed to design, development, validation, deployment and monitoring of several features for those services\\n\\n3+ years of experience in collaborating with other disciplines like program management and product management to deliver features \\n\\n2+ years' experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS) \\n\\nPrior software development work experience in supply chain technology at a large retail company is a bonus\\n\\nKnowledge in event driven design and implementation patterns, containers and micro-services, REST APIs are a bonus\\n\\n\\n#LI-EC1\\n\\nThis range may vary for candidates hired to work in locations other than Colorado.\\n\\nMinimum = $91,000/annually\\n\\nMaximum = $159,700/annually
