We would prefer the candidate to work in Durham, NC however the ideal candidate can work from anywhere in USA (remote).

What you'll achieve

Our Software Engineering team delivers next-generation storage products and solutions for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for Dell's midrange storage products - all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners. As a Software Engineer, you will get the opportunity to work with our world class talent in designing and implementing features for the data mobility area of our product in a fast-paced, agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to feature development and maintenance activities through knowledge of programming in latest tools and technologies Provides solutions to a variety of problems of limited scope & complexity
• Collaborate with people across geographies and different functions
• Take part in agile programming practice and complete development tasks & assignments with limited direction
• Participate in the creation of software development artifacts, including functional requirements, design specifications, code, unit tests and user documentation
• Accountable for the delivery of assigned tasks. Operate with a sense of urgency, anticipate issues and take appropriate actions

Essential Requirements

• Bachelors (Technical)degree and 7 +years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated software development background with general knowledge and application of software engineering concepts, algorithms, data structures and design patterns
• Software development skills in at least one mainstream language, such as C++ (Preferred) or JAVA
• Good understanding of object oriented programing concept, database concept, and familiarity with scripting languages ideally Python in open systems

Desired Requirements

• Masters Degree
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to use tools such as git, gdb, jira appropriately with technical guidance, seek assistance when needed
• Able to work in a team environment
