We are the the Specialty Pharmacy Engineering team under Cigna Health Services, and we are going though our Technology Transformation Journey, building an innovative system providing automation, efficiency and intelligent workflows. Essential Functions:

  • Lead, Build and Maintain a Pega 7.x/8.x application development while interfacing with and mentoring our vendor partner consultants.
  • Co-ordinate with Technical Product Owners and Business community in refining business needs and provide technical solution.
  • Work with Business Partners and Operational Leaders to ideate, design, develop and deliver technology solutions.
  • Deliver reliable and secure software solutions meeting the operational specifications required through development of system logic.
  • Review and guide code development from other team members through code reviews.
  • Monitor all triage, debug, surveillance, performance, and scalability for all environments.
  • Partner with Testers, having an understanding of automated testing patterns such as unit testing, mocking and automated integration testing
  • Enforce Pega best design and coding practices and maintain high compliance level for Pega code.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Pega certifications CSSA/LSA preferred
  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or the equivalence of education and experience
  • 10+ years' experience with in-depth technical understanding of Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC), Pega product knowledge and have experience with Java frameworks
  • 5+ years of software architecture experience
  • 2+ years of development using Oracle (or similar RDMS) backend and application management
  • Knowledge on Pega Cloud, Dockers and automation preferred
  • Pega Integrations with external Databases, Listeners, REST services, Messaging and SOAP
  • Troubleshoot application issues using Pega tools like Tracer, Pega Log Viewer, AES and PDC
  • Experience in business process modeling or flow charting
  • Experience in Healthcare Industry is a plus



This role is WAH/Flex, which allows most work to be performed at home. WAH/Flex employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they choose to come onsite or if required to periodically come on site.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $115,100 - $191,800, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
