Job Overview:

Olive Ventures (OV) builds and launches new companies to solve challenges in healthcare that are not addressed by Olive's direct offerings. OV is a part of the Olive ecosystem and is able to take advantage of Olive technologies and the Olive platform while introducing new innovations and business models. OV includes a team of people across disciplines that work with new company founders to develop their solution. This team includes investors, research analysts, business development, marketing, design, data science and engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Go from concept to design to execution as part of a small, entrepreneurial-oriented team
  • Contribute to solution conceptualization
  • Quickly produce well-organized, optimized, and documented code
  • Architect, design and implement systems in a rapidly changing environment



Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant programming experience, specifically Javascript, NodeJS
  • Hands-on experience with various SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Front-end development with frameworks such as React
  • Basic knowledge of continuous integration tools and pipelines
  • Knowledgeable of security / authentication methods
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems and shortcomings in existing architecture
  • Healthcare experience required
  • History of designing and delivering software solutions to real-world problems across a variety of technology stacks and programming languages
  • Experienced in the development of highly maintainable and reliable code using practices such as unit testing, integration testing, proper code documentation, and appropriate logging
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental engineering concepts
  • Knowledge of software and application design and architecture


Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, EMR, S3, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree (computer science, computer engineering), or relevant equivalent experience
  • Typescript experience
  • Experience writing and reviewing detailed Technical Design Documents (TDDs) is a plus
