Epsilon C5I ( http://epsilonsystems.com/c5i) is seeking a Software Engineer with at least 6 years of experience for work in St Louis, MO. In this role, you will be part of a team providing development, integration, and sustainment of Geospatial Intelligence data management services in the Cloud, across multiple security enclaves. Our engineers will develop and integrate new services to manage and disseminate mission data to authorized users. These modernized services will allow the government to retire the legacy library systems and provide new functionality that addresses enduring and emerging missions. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the program s Cloud Support Services (CSS) team to provide quality cost-effective solutions to the client.
  • Actively participate with Scrum development teams and meetings.
  • Work with a highly functional team developing and deploying custom solutions to the client s enterprise cloud environment.
  • Work with the team to define task breakdowns and effort estimates; as well as preparing design and test documents.
  • Work closely with development Project Scrum Masters to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery.
  • Provide progress updates to Development Project Managers to ensure the management of any delivery risks or concerns.
  • Work on a wide range of projects involving the implementation of new and existing systems, solutions, and processes.
  • Design, implement and maintain application phases.
  • Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
  • Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
  • Recommend changes to improve established application processes.
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components.
  • Develop application code programs.
  • Develop and execute unit test plans.
  • Support formal testing and resolve test defects.
  • Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • At least six (6+) years of related systems engineering experience
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Front-end development skills (HTML/CSS/Sass/Less/JavaScript)
  • Expert with at least one language and desire good experience with several others (Python, React,
  • Java, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes
  • Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, and other DevOps/Continuous Integration tools
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-managed, strong self-organization skills, and eager to contribute
  • Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
  • Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ElasticSearch
  • Experiencing interacting with AWS SDK, AWS API, AWS CLI, and AWS Cloud Formation
  • Experience with public clouds such as AWS, Google, Rackspace
